3Y Energy attended the 31st CIMAC World Congress in Zurich, the leading triennial conference covering the latest advancements in ship propulsion, train drives, and stationary power generation.
At the event, the team met with major global engine manufacturers including MAN Energy Solutions, Wärtsilä, WinGD, MHI, IHI, Yanmar, and Weichai, exchanging insights on current R&D progress and broader industry trends.
Ammonia was a recurring focus of the technical programme. Major engine producers shared progress on ammonia-based designs and testing across both low-speed and medium- to high-speed marine engines. While full commercialisation remains a few years away, the momentum behind ammonia as a sustainable marine fuel continues to strengthen.
Following the congress, the team visited MAN Energy Solutions' research centre in Copenhagen to continue discussions on next-generation fuel engine designs, with particular focus on ammonia engines.
3Y Energy looks forward to deepening its collaboration with MAN to advance innovation in marine engine technology.
